This unit tatami mat can be used as a mattress. The mat has been designed to perfectly match the size of futon mattresses, allowing you to easily lay out your futon on top of it. After putting away your futon, the mat can also be used to transform your space into a simple Japanese style room or into a play space for children. The mat’s igusa straw offers many benefits, including a natural air purifying effect as well as humidity control. The mat also controls the humidity underneath the futon. Spread it out underneath your futon for extra comfort without unwanted stuffiness.

You can tell the tatami mat is of a high quality, it smells heavenly! Very excited about my Japanese mat

 by KimEM67

I’ve always wanted an authentic Japanese futon, so I ordered a new Japanese bed- shikibuton topper with cover, kakebuton, tatami mats, and pillows- and the items have beyond exceeded my expectations! The quality is unbeatable, and customer service was top notch. I couldn’t believe how quickly everything arrived. I would HIGHLY recommend this seller. They put a lot of care into each item that they sell. I’m sure at some point I will be ordering again! Thank you very much!!! A+++!!! ❤️

The tatami mat is great so far! The mat was shipped very quickly; it arrived within just 4 business days, which is very impressive considering it was shipped halfway around the world. The mat fits exactly under my semi-double futon. It folds up easily, is of great quality, and smells great! I’m already considering buying another for my living room.
