Fabric : Cotton 100 % (Flax Leaf – Japanese Old Styled Pattern Print)
Filling : Natural Cotton 100 %
This futon topper is 30% thinner than our other standard futon mattresses. Other than difference of the quantity of the cotton filling, making process and the style are the same as our other standard futon mattresses.
We made this futon topper for the extra softness for your comfortable sleep.
If you think your futon mattress might be too firm (or it’s been getting too firm, it happens after long time use), you can just add this futon topper on it and add extra softness. Or if you prefer firmer mattress, you can sleep on this futon topper alone.
In case two people are sharing the futon, you can customize the thickness to the preference of each person by layering this on one side. It’s also great for placing on an air mattress for your guests. Like our other futon mattress, this futon topper is breathable and bring a natural touch. It’s ideal to cover the PVC top. It also gives air bed the good support. You can provide sound sleeping time to your guests.
For covering, the covers for standard shiki futon mattress can be used for this futon topper.

To select the correct futon size
Please note that what we show on our site is the size of the futon fabric. If it is filled with cotton, it will be about 4 inches (10 cm) shorter in length and width.
Example : Futon Mattress - Single 78” x 39” (200 x 100 cm) will be 74" x 35" (190 x 90 cm) when you receive.
If you are planning to place the futon mattress on your bed, and want to fit them perfectly, please be aware of it and select carefully.
All sizes are approximate.
Shiki Futon (Futon Mattress) at the time of delivery is very fluffy and voluminous, measuring over 4” (10 cm) in the thickest center position but after about one week of usage the fluffiness will begin to settle, and the mattress will transform into a stiffer, denser futon. After about two to three months of use, the cotton padding becomes even thinner (more constricted) and the futon will become about half of its original thickness. Although the volume decreases, the cotton fiber's "support features" become activated and the futon becomes a mattress that will support your proper sleeping posture.
How We Make Futon
We source quality raw cotton from India. Classic, heavy-duty machines, which have been used for over three generations, get rid of cotton chips and make the cotton suitable as futon filling. We sterilize cotton by heat. We don't use any chemical material in any of our processes.
Many kinds of cotton fabrics are in stock to meet customers’ various demands. Our skilled artisans finish more than 15 futon mattresses per day when it‘s busy. The products are then shipped to the world from our office on the lower floor of the factory. Our making process is minimal and productive at the same time. We can cut the costs of the middleman and transportation. That’s why we can offer quality products at a fair price.

I ordered a thin shikifuton and the quality is amazing and if the highest caliber! It's the main reason I'll only order my futons from Japan. More impressive was how quickly I received my purchase. As expected, my futon arrived well-packaged and within a couple of days after placing my order. Japan's packaging is always carefully thought out. You can tell they truly value their customers and want them to know it. The sellers service is top-notch just like the merchandise they sell. They constantly kept me updated with the progress of my order such as confirmation of my order, when they'll be shipping it, tracking number, etc.. I highly recommend this company! You will not be disappointed. I'm getting ready to order more items from them!
