About us

Thank you for visiting our website.

We hope to introduce Japanese traditional futon (Japanese-style bedding) to more people all around the world.

We have been constantly offering authentic bedclothes, which give you a feel of cotton’s texture and warmth, for 100 years since our establishment. Cherishing the traditional techniques handed down to us, we will further devote ourselves to “create” Japanese futon for the future. Please feel free to drop in our store when you happen to come this way. We are all looking forward to welcoming you.

Corporate Mission – Low Impact Living

Majority of futon uses urethane or synthetic fibers where most of them cannot be recycled, and futon is becoming the most common thing thrown out as over-size trash in the recent years in Japan.
After all, we believe use of cotton futon that’s well-adapted to the Japanese climate contributes to the prevention of global warming.

Since cotton filling is made from cotton plant, unlike synthetic fiber which is made from hydrocarbon, cotton plant undergoes photosynthesis to provide us with oxygen.

We can recycle the cotton used to make cotton futons by converting old futons into zabuton cushions, and futon mattresses into quilt futons etc..
