Features

This item is a cover for a futon mattress. It does not contain any cotton filling. Please make sure you are ordering the correct item.

Fabric - 100% cotton plain weave.

Opening - Wide side zipper for easy insertion and removal of the futon mattress. The cover fully encloses the futon mattress.

SLP Color fabric in original colors developed by Iwamoto Senni, designed to create a calm and comfortable atmosphere for sleep.

The fabric uses a plain weave with 40-count yarn and a thread count of 200. It is sanforized to help reduce shrinkage during washing.

The colors are carefully selected to soften visual stimulation while adding depth and character to the sleeping space.

For our Quilts (Kake futons), including our thinner quilts, choose the Quilt Cover with the same size name. For example, a Single Quilt Cover fits our Single Quilt.

The Quilt Cover is made to the same length and width as the corresponding Quilt (Kake futon) fabric size.

As size names can vary by country, please check the measurements below before ordering.

About Iwamoto Senni

Founded in 1948, Iwamoto Senni is a Japanese maker of bedding and sleepwear, including futon covers and pajamas.

The company operates its own sewing factories in Kyoto and Shiga, handling each step from fabric development and design to cutting, sewing, and shipping.

Rather than keeping finished products in stock, each item is made after an order is placed. From covers for traditional inns to sleepwear for individual customers, every piece is carefully made in Japan with comfort and everyday use in mind.

How It’s Made

SLP Color is an original color collection developed by Iwamoto Senni with restful sleep in mind.

The colors are carefully selected to soften visual stimulation and create a calm, comfortable atmosphere in the bedroom. Rather than using bright or overly strong tones, the collection focuses on deep, balanced colors that feel gentle on the eyes and easy to live with.

Care Instructions

  • Close the zipper and place the cover in a laundry net before washing.
  • Machine wash on a gentle cycle at 30°C (86°F) or below.
  • Do not use bleach.
  • Do not tumble dry.
  • Reshape while damp and line dry in the shade.
  • Iron at a low temperature if needed.
  • Wash dark colors separately from light-colored items, especially for the first few washes.
  • Professional dry cleaning and wet cleaning are also permitted.
