What is “Sashiko” ?
“Sashiko” embroidery originated in northern Japan about more than 400 years ago. It was a folk wisdom used in poor, cold villages to make their precious kimono fabric tough and to keep them as warm as possible. In modern times, sashiko is enjoyed as a fun hand craft. The daring patch work design of various sashiko pattern makes it very unique and beautiful.

Recommended Care: Machine wash with cold water and hang dry, no dryer for avoiding shrinkage.
