It is smaller than the size of a standard futon to avoid bending.
This pad is made of Japanese rush grass produced in Kyushu. Each strand is thick, with a strong outer skin and fine fibers, making it resilient and durable. The use of undyed rush grass gives the surface a soft, smooth feel that conforms gently to the body.
Usually, rush grass is dyed with mud to help keep the grass green and prevent tanning.
This product is made with undyed rush grass, without that process. Unlike rush grass dyed with mud, this product uses rush grass in its natural state, making it suitable for sleeping directly on.
The Benefits of Rush Grass
- Absorbs about 2.5 times more moisture than cotton.
- Helps reduce stuffiness while sleeping.
- Helps lower surface temperature by absorbing moisture from perspiration.
- Helps reduce perspiration odor.
The rush grass is woven in a twill weave. This weaving method uses about 1.4 times more igusa than a standard weave.
As a result, the pad is thicker, stronger, and more resistant to abrasion.
There is a seam line in the center of the Double size pad.
When not in use, it can be rolled up and stored compactly.
It can also be used on spring mattresses.
