Fabric Japandi

"Japandi" is an interior design style that blends Japanese aesthetics with Scandinavian design, combining the calming nature of Japanese style with the airy lightness of Scandinavian style.

This futon cover features a gentle, natural color palette adorned with auspicious, traditional Japanese patterns.

The designs include the elegant and striking large-bloom "Chrysanthemum" pattern—symbolizing wishes for longevity and good health—and the "Trellis" (*futaebishi*) pattern, featuring layered diamond shapes.

Each pattern exudes a refined, understated charm, allowing it to blend naturally not only with Japanese-style rooms but also with a wide range of interior styles, including natural, Scandinavian, and modern decor.

Size Information

For our Futon Mattresses (Shikifutons) and Toppers, choose the cover with the same size name. For example, a Single cover fits both our Single Futon Mattress and Single Topper.

Our covers are made approximately 5 cm (2.0 in) larger in both length and width than the corresponding Futon Mattress (Shikifuton) fabric size. This makes the futon easier to insert and allows for possible shrinkage after washing.

As size names can vary by country, please check the measurements below before ordering.

US Full is available for selected covers only.

How to Choose the Right Cover Size

Measure the circumference of your futon in both directions, as shown in the diagram.

  • Length: circumference ÷ 2 + 5 cm / 2 in
  • Width: circumference ÷ 2 + 5 cm / 2 in

The results will be the recommended cover length and width.

Example:

Length circumference: 400 cm / 157.5 in
→ Recommended cover length: 205 cm / 80.7 in

Width circumference: 200 cm / 78.7 in
→ Recommended cover width: 105 cm / 41.3 in

Recommended cover size: 205 × 105 cm / 80.7 × 41.3 in

Our covers are designed for relatively flat Japanese futons and may not fit standard bed mattresses thicker than 10 cm / 4 in.

If you are unsure which size to choose, please contact us before ordering.
