About This Tatami Mattress

This foldable tatami mat can be used under a futon mattress. It is designed to match standard Japanese futon sizes, making it easy to lay your futon on top.

After putting away your futon, the mat can also be used to create a simple Japanese-style room or a relaxation space.

The natural igusa rush grass helps regulate moisture underneath the futon, creating a more comfortable sleeping environment.

Needle-punch processing is a manufacturing method in which overlapping thin fibers are intertwined and compressed using many needles. This helps create a dense and durable mat with good structural strength.

Hiba Wood Treatment

This product is treated with natural Hiba wood extract sourced from Aomori Prefecture, Japan.

Using proprietary processing technology, Hiba essence is infused into the material. Hiba extract contains hinokitiol, a naturally occurring compound known for its antibacterial and deodorizing properties.

Compared with untreated products, the Hiba treatment helps maintain freshness while adding the pleasant, forest-like aroma characteristic of Hiba wood.

The natural scent of Hiba is often associated with the relaxing atmosphere of a forest retreat, enhancing the comfort of your living space.
