Quality assured by a 120 year old company
As exports began to flourish in the Meiji era (1868-1912), rush grass products were also exported to Europe and the United States.

In 1892, Koichi Hagiwara I, who had excellent foresight, established the company under the trade name "Marufu" after his own name "Fuichi" as a manufacturer and seller of hana-goza for export to the United States.

Later, in 1902, hana-goza, of which Kurashiki was a specialty, ranked third among all items exported from Japan to the United States.

However, due to World War I, which began in 1914, exports were no longer possible and the company switched to domestic sales.

Hagiwara has a spirit of taking on big challenges to stand out from the crowd, and a spirit of continuing steady efforts to support the challenges.

The only thing that has not changed in Hagiwara Corporation is the concept of "Marufu," which has always supported our evolution up to now and will continue to do so in the future. more
