This is a Fujiki Denshiro Shoten original tea caddy with the cherry bark peeking out like a belt.
By shortening the outer cylinder of a regular tea caddy, the cherry bark of the inner cylinder appears and serves to tighten the color of the wood of the outer cylinder. While this is a novel design for kabazaiku, it is a unique piece of kabazaiku that demonstrates the characteristics of the materials and techniques used. The inner cylinder is all covered with cherry bark, and when the outer lid is opened, the contrast with the outer cylinder can be enjoyed. In addition, the inner lid is deeper than usual and the knob is not attached so that the inner lid can be used as a tea spoon.
