This is a three-dimensional hanging scroll with an oshie (padded picture) of a mejiro (Japanese white-eye).
The scroll depicts a mejiro perching on a branch in search of nectar when cherry blossoms are in full bloom.
The image of a mejiro is often associated with sakura and plum blossoms.
Let’s enjoy the scenery of spring in full bloom.
This small hanging scroll is made in a very elaborate process. It would be a nice addition to a restaurant or guest room.
