This cover is for the zabuton in “Meisen” size 23.2 x 21.6″ (55 x 59cm)  .

Fabric :  Ramie 100% (rough texture)

 

Kakishibu is a traditional Japanese dyeing which uses the juice of fermented, unripe persimmon fruit.  It has the natural antiseptic and insect-repelling effect.

This way of dyeing is sometimes called “the dyeing of the sun”. 

These colors get deeper and deeper as being lightened by the sun. You can enjoy the changing colors of them.

They smells a bit of the natural dyeing liquid when you receive, but it’ll be vanished eventually.
