It means satin-weave fabrics made of threads such as cotton, silk, nylon, polyurethane and acetate. The fabric is characterized by its surface which consists almost entirely of floated warp threads and its shiny surface. The satin fabric tends to wrinkle easily, so it would be better not to wash it at home but to have it washed by the cleaners.
