Rayon is a manufactured regenerated cellulose fiber made from wood pulp. It is also known as “Artificial Silk” due to its silk-like properties such as softness and shimmering appearance.
Rayon is considered eco-friendly, since it is made from a cellulose fiber which comes from a natural source and can be incinerated without releasing toxic substances.
On the other hand, once it gets wet, it has a tendency to wrinkle or shrink, so it is difficult to wash at home.
