If you are thinking of placing the futon mattress on your bed and you have the specific size that you’d like, please be careful and understand well before you order.
Futon is made of cotton filling and a bag-shaped fabric which doesn’t have a gusset. When futon is new, it’s voluminous but it gets flat eventually. The height changes and it’s hard to say the 3 dimensional measurement. That’s why our size is based on the fabric sizes which won’t change. It’s a conventional way of measuring futon in Japan.
