Sashiko-ori

It is a woven fabric which resemble sashiko stitching patterns in appearance.

Although it is a kind of plain fabric with warp and weft yarns alternately interwoven, by changing the color of the warp or weft, the sashiko-like image can be generated on the fabric. This fabric became widely popular as an alternative to the time-consuming sashiko stitching. It has been used for small products or martial arts uniforms.
